The Corner Venezualen food truck

Beef Cabimera with Seed Spitter lurking in the background.

The Corner Venezualen (www.thecornervzla.com) truck never disappoints. Today is a grey, cold, bleak day. It is about 40 degrees and raining. It is windy. The wind makes it feel like 10 degrees, I would estimate. I was not really keen on leaving the house, but was lured out by the promise of some delicious food. So, I put on clothes and went down to TBC to find something delicious. Success.

Having already tried the arepas, pepito, and tequenos on the last visit, I went for something different today. All of those dishes were amazing, incidentally. Today, I had the beef Cabimera.

So, what we have here is a fried arepa (essentially cornbread for us southern folks) topped with lettuce, shredded beef, cheese, and a boiled egg. I added their hot sauce to mine because I like to live life on the edge. Also, it was cold and my sinuses are garbage. Back to the food….This thing was amazing. I felt semi-healthy eating it because of all the lettuce, so that was nice. The beef was good and tender. The combination of all the flavors was out of this world good. The hot sauce gave it just enough bite to make me forget that it is cold and miserable outside.

Bottom line, if you get the chance to eat from this truck, and they are back at TBC on 01/27/19, get your hind parts down there and eat. Get you a Seed Spitter and some food and enjoy yourself. Life is too short to eat sub par food. So eat the food and drink the beer. Live your best life. I’m going to.
